Courtney Barnett at the Hollywood Palladium August 29th 2026

The Creature of Habit tour made a stop at the Hollywood Palladium last night. The anxious crowd filed in early to be sure not miss the opening performance by Built to Spill. They greeted the crowd with excited waves as they performed familiar hits and wrapped up their setlist with a performance of "Carry the Zero"

Courtney hit the stage in roaring fashion jumping right into a performance of "Stay in your lane." Her electric guitar riffs filled the packed palladium room. She performed crowd favorite hits like "Depreston" and "Elevator Operator." Her new excellent album "Creature of Habit" released earlier this year in march had clearly taken its hold already as the crowd sang along. Courtney's stage presence and mesmerizing guitar playing made her nearly 20 plus song set feel like a flash. The recognizable first few riffs of "Nobody Really Cares if You Dont Go To The Party" closed out the night. I could not help but to think that this was one of the most memorable sets I'd seen in a long time.
